Loganair marks launch of Heathrow flights
Loganair has marked a number of firsts with the airline celebrating the launch of new London Heathrow flights.
Loganair is now offering connections to London Heathrow from Derry, Dundee, Orkney and Shetland in addition to its existing Isle of Man services.
Derry flights switched from London Stansted on 6 May, while flights to Dundee departed this week from Heathrow after switching from London City.
It was the first London Heathrow flight to Dundee for 40 years.
The changes have brought the first-ever link between City of Derry Airport and Heathrow.
It also connected Sumburgh and Heathrow for the first time.
CEO Jonathan Hinkles said: “These routes really take Loganair’s provision of regional connectivity to new heights.”
We’re very grateful to the government and BA for their support in securing these slots for domestic connectivity”.

Shame that Loganair did not deploy their aircraft to Europe's only major city without a connection to the capital on a LHR route, it's Liverpool, host city to Eurovision 2023 with 160 million viewers all with their eyes on Liverpool and the only way for those fans down south who purchased tickets to get to Liverpool due to the train strike have to fly into other airports. The buzz that this major event has produced has put Liverpool on the world map, shame the only way to get their via sched is EI-DUB and LH-FRA, but a big thanks to those 2 airlines who have put their faith in Liverpool.
