Los Cabos opens LA tourism promotion office
The Los Cabos Tourism Board has opened its first overseas office in Los Angeles.
Following the defunding of Mexico’s Tourism Board, Los Cabos is the only destination to establish a promotional office outside the country.
Los Angeles is the perfect location for its first overseas office as California contributes about 40% of international tourist arrivals, according to Rodrigo Esponda, managing director of Los Cabos Tourism Board.
"The decision to open our first trade office in Los Angeles was a logical step in our business growth. We are looking forward to making travel to Los Cabos even more accessible by working closely with travel and tour operators in California," Esponda said.
Susie Albin-Najera will manage the LA office and continue to build on the DMO’s close relationships with the travel trade
Albin-Najera has more than 15 years of destination marketing and travel PR experience and recently held the post of regional marketing manager for Pleasant Holidays and Journese.
"Los Cabos is a premier travel destination and I am honored with the opportunity to join the dynamic Los Cabos Tourism Board team to showcase the destination."
