Low-cost carriers going to Sabre

Tuesday, 03 Jun, 2004 0

Sabre Airline Solutions says its browser-based technology is gaining momentum among low-cost carriers.

AirTran Airways and JetBlue Airways were among the first to update System Operations Control centers to Sabre’s browser-based technology, which offers integration at remote locations.

With implementation of the new open system technology, JetBlue and AirTran personnel from remote locations such as airport ramps and gate positions can access and update operational information in a more cost-effective way.

Frontier Airlines is also poised to implement Sabre’s Flite Trac Web module to provide remote access to Flite Trac for its station personnel, according to Sabre.
