Lowcosttravelgroup appoints new chief marketing officer
Lowcosttravelgroup has appointed Alex Gisbert as group chief marketing officer.
Gisbert, who is moving from his role of MD (International businesses), will continue to run sales and marketing for the group from Mallorca, Spain.
He joined the lowcosttravelgroup in July 2010 and previously held positions at Expedia, Opodo and Thomas Cook Travel group.
"It made sense to drive the business from the multi market framework we have built in Switzerland & Palma," said Gisbert.
"Moving a UK business to a global business is a tough challenge, but having launched over 30 countries for the group this year the reality is that the team is getting up to speed quickly on the challenges of executing outside the UK."
