Lufthansa pilots agree no strike pact with airline
Lufthansa pilots have pledged not to strike until next summer at least after agreeing a pay deal with the airline.
The agreement includes a no strike commitment until June 30, 2023.
Lufthansa and Vereinigung Cockpit union agreed on a salary increase of €490 each in two stages, while new co-pilots will receive about 20% extra basic pay.
A pilots’ strike earlier this month caused the cancellation of almost 800 flights impacting about 130,000 passengers.
