Lufthansa to fly A380 from Singapore
Lufthansa will service its southeast Asian gateway in Singapore with a new Airbus A380 from October 30.
Currently the airline flies its flagship super- jumbo to Frankfurt, Tokyo, Beijing, Johannesburg, New York, San Francisco and next month, Miami.
Singapore will be serviced daily by Lufthansa’s A380 on the Frankfurt route that connects to the airline’s main hub in Germany.
Kai Peters, general manager of Lufthansa German Airlines Australia, said Australian passengers would for the first time fly all the way to Frankfurt on the world’s largest aircraft – combining the Lufthansa A380 with an A380 code-share flight of our Star Alliance partner Singapore Airlines.
The introduction of the A380 service will increase Lufthansa’s capacity at Singapore’s Changi Airport by 25 percent.
