Lufthansa ups Newcastle connections
Lufthansa is expanding a service between Newcastle and Dusseldorf to offer improved connections to onward flights.
The German airline is doubling frequency to two flights on weekdays from November 5 and will offer daily flights on Saturdays and Sundays.
New flight timings have been designed to provide more and quicker onward connections to a range of destinations not served direct from the North East, including Budapest, Bucharest, Gothenburg, Marseille, Milan, Katowice, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich.
Retrun flights to Dusseldorf start at £109 return with business class rates leading in at £679.
The airline’s UK and Ireland manager Marianne Sammann said: “Lufthansa offers minimum onward connection times from Dusseldorf from just 35 minutes, making it a real and attractive alternative to other major hubs.”
