Regent serves up Cordon Bleu cooking secrets
Guests travelling with ultra-luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas will not only be able to enjoy eating in the only Le Cordon Bleu restaurants at sea – they can also discover the secrets of classic French cookery techniques, directly from French master chefs.
Guests will learn the art of French cooking in hands-on workshops of no more than 16 people, led by award-winning chefs who will pass on their expertise. In addition, shore excursions to local markets will allow guests to learn how chefs select the ingredients needed to create world-renowned dishes.
A highlight of the programme will see guests selecting and cooking a dish from the ship’s own Le Cordon Bleu menus before attending a graduation ceremony in the ship’s Signatures Restaurant. Graduates will receive their own chef’s apron and hat, a tea towel, a special Le Cordon Bleu cookbook of classic recipes, and a certificate of participation.
Graham Sadler, managing director, said: “Not only has Regent partnered with Le Cordon Bleu to offer Signatures, the world’s first and only permanent Le Cordon Bleu restaurants at sea, but we are also offering guests the opportunity to experience this famous style of cookery themselves.
“This is an ideal opportunity for culinary enthusiasts who want to learn new skills and techniques from the masters at the same time as enjoying a luxury break.”
The Le Cordon Bleu ‘Circle of Interest’ is available on a range of cruises including the 10 night, Dover to Monte Carlo sailing on 12th September onboard Seven Seas Voyager. Cruise prices start from £2,882 (US $5,581) per person with the Le Cordon Bleu ‘Circle of Interest’ costing an additional £214 (US $414) per person.
