Luxury Escapes acquires digital concierge firm
Melbourne based travel platform Luxury Escapes has announced the purchase of digital concierge tech firm Porter & Sail.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed but Porter & Sail’s co-founder and CEO Caitlin Zaino von During will be joining Luxury Escapes as general manager of guest experience.
She will be responsible for developing Luxury Escapes in-travel experience through technology.
The acquisition will enable Luxury Escapes customers to use the Porter & Sail app to automate room upgrades, early check-in and order various in-hotel services.
"Bringing Porter & Sail’s guest technology to the group offers a unique opportunity to proliferate our innovative platform to millions of members and leading hotels, worldwide," said Zaino von During.
Porter & Sail was established in 2015.
Porter & Sail also runs new business Hotel Credits but this is not part of the acquisition.
"We are always looking for new ways to enhance the travel experience – making in-travel experiences seamless and easy is incredibly important," said Adam Schwab, Luxury Escapes co-founder.
