Madrid ready for a gastro-extravaganza
Madrid is ready to savour the next edition of Gastrofestival from January 23 to February 5.
Gastrofestival will again coincide with Madrid Fusión, the major international gastronomic summit, to be held from January 24-26.
New in 2012 will be Gastrohealth and Wine Culture.
For the first time viticulture will be featured in the event and will be one of its main themes.
Gastrohealth will offer discounts to those interested in beauty treatments with chocolate, cherries or oil, as well as on spa circuits.
Sensory Experiences will include tasting sessions and gastronomic tours of the city, including activities organised by the San Miguel Market and the new San Antón Market.
Bars and taverns will repeat their special offer of a tapa and drink for three euros, while restaurants will prepare special 25-euro and 40-euro menus to introduce diners to their cuisine,
For 75 euros, diners attending “Dinner with the Stars’ will sample dishes prepared by the leading international chefs at some of the city’s finest establishments, including some which have been awarded Michelin stars.
Other gastro-linked events will include culture, film and fashion.
