Majority of US travelers would cancel vacations to Zika infected areas

Nearly two-thirds of Americans would cancel their travel to Zika virus-affected countries, according to a consumer survey.
Travel risk management firm On Call International conducted a Google consumer survey of nearly 2,000 adult consumers in the US with 64% saying they would cancel.
That rose to 69% for female respondents.
The World Health Organization has called an emergency meeting for Monday to discuss measures to slow down the spread of the virus.
WHO describes the spread of the virus as ‘explosive’ and could reach as many as four million cases before the end of the year.
Brazil has so far been ground zero for the spread of the virus but Colombia also reported more than 2,000 cases in pregnant women.
Symptoms of the mosquito-borne virus are relatively mild but it has been linked to microcephaly which can produce severe birth defects.
More than 30 confirmed Zika cases have been identified so far in the US.
