Malaysia’s First World Hotel Recognised as the World’s Largest
A report from Malaysia says that the First World Hotel at Genting, Malaysia, is now the largest hotel in the world after receiving the highest recognition from Guinness World Records.
First World Hotel, which consists of 6,118 rooms, has been recognised as “the world’s largest” under the Feats of Engineering for Big Buildings. The previous title holder was MGM Grand Hotel & Casino at Las Vegas with a record 5,005 rooms.
Together with five other hotels, namely Genting Hotel, Highlands Hotel, Resort Hotel, Theme Park Hotel and Awana Genting, seven kms down the hill, Genting – City Of Entertainment now boasts over 10,000 rooms. Last year, more than 18 million visitors had made their trip to Genting.
After months of renovation and upgrading activities, superior deluxe rooms at First World Hotel as well as Resort Hotel have received lavish embellishment.
The award-winning indoor and outdoor theme parks offer more than 50 different rides for visitors to choose from. Irresistible and exciting games include the Flying Coaster, Sky Venture (only two of such rides in the world) and Snow World (largest in South East Asia). Also, not to be missed is the latest Mini Train and Crazy Space Lap, all ready to be rolled out later this year.
