Maldives drops testing for vaccinated travellers
The Maldives is the latest holiday destination to ease entry requirements, by removing Covid-19 tests for fully vaccinated travellers.
Applicable vaccines are those approved by the WHO and taken at least 14 days before travel.
A negative PCR test result upon arrival is scrapped, as is the requirement to be tested before departure from their island resort.
Children not yet able to be vaccinated have to present a negative PCR test on arrival.
Still, all inbound travellers will still need to fill the Traveller Health Declaration form within 48 hours of their arriving flight.
The Maldives was one of the first to open its borders for tourists back in the summer of 2020
