Malindo Air has inked an interlining pact with Turkish Airlines, aimed at tapping new markets for the Malaysia based carrier.
The agreement gives the airline a first foothold into Europe among Turkish Airlines’ vast network of more than 250 destinations.
"This interline partnership will make travel seamless from this region, reward frequent travellers on Malindo Air, and offer our passengers even more options when travelling to Turkey and beyond," said Malindo CEO Chandran Rama Muthy.
"Malindo Air will provide another option for travel trade in Asean and to Australia. The success of this interline partnership will open doors for us to code-share with other suitable partners."
Malindo currently flies to 40 cities in 12 countries in ASEAN, Australia and the Indian subcontinent.
Turkish Airlines’ CEO Temel Kotil said the partnership will boost travel options for customers flying between Europe and Asia as well as enhancing economic ties between the two countries.
