The movie complex at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., becomes Theatres – Mall of America on Sept. 12. All 14 theaters, owned and operated by Mall of America, will feature new seats, and the two largest screens will be upgraded to digital sound and image with 3D capabilities. Popcorn from a premium popcorn popper will have real butter.

The new 170-seat VIP theater will offer individual tables so that guests (age 21 and over) can enjoy food and beverage service.

In addition to these upgrades, Mall of America will host special events and promotional movie screenings. Theatres – Mall of America will become a destination offering dinner and a movie specials, family movie nights, special screenings, independent film showings, movie and book events, and “date night” with a dessert and wine bar.

Mall of America is the nation’s largest retail and entertainment complex. The 4.2 million square foot complex is home to more than 520 world-class shops; Nickelodeon Universe, the nation’s largest indoor family amusement park; and Underwater Adventures® Aquarium, a 1.2 million-gallon walk-though aquarium. The mall opened in 1992 and is located just minutes from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. (www.mallofamerica.com)
