Malta accepting only fully vaccinated travellers
Malta has tightened rules again and will only admit fully vaccinated travellers. The country had already mandated full vaccinations for travel from the UK due to fears of the spread of the Delta variant.
Flag carrier Air Malta is bracing for a slump in bookings for summer holidays and said its call centre was swamped with calls over the weekend seeking details. When it was made mandatory for UK travellers, the airline said bookings declined about 30%..
Health Minister Chris Fearne argues the mandatory vaccination rule for all is a ‘selling point’ making it one of the safest countries to take a holiday in.
