Man appears in court over travel agency thefts
A 49-year-old man accused of robbing six travel agencies in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Lancashire of a total of £73,000 will appear in court today.
Gary Gilboy from Liverpool will appear before Stoke on Trent Combined Court to face charges of raiding Co-op Travel agencies in Leek, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Buxton, Althams Travel branches in Nelson and Colne and The Co-operative Travel in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Gilboy is alleged to have used a screwdriver as a weapon in the attacks.
