Man charged with Allure of the Seas crew murder
A 24-year-old Mexican barman has been charged with the murder of a Royal Caribbean International crew member who was discovered drowned in the sea off the resort island of Cozumel.
Monika Markiewicz, a 32-year-old musician from Poland, worked on the Allure of the Seas cruise ship. She was reported missing last Friday after failing to return to the ship before it left Cozumel and her body was discovered in the ocean off the southern part of the island.
Nelson Perez Torres, a barman with whom Ms Markiewicz was believed to have been acquainted for some time, has been charged with her murder.
