Man charged with attempted robbery at travel agency
A man has been charged after an attempted robbery at a travel agency in Nottingham.
The owner of the agency, Destinations Travel in Carlton Hill, was reportedly assaulted during the incident, which happened on July 12. According to police, he was taken to hospital for head injuries.
Damien Mellors, 34, of Trefan Gardens, Bestwood, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court last week and has been remanded, said the Nottingham Post.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on August 16 charged with attempted robbery, two counts of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, criminal damage and possession of a bladed article.
