Manchester flights boost from Jet2.com

Budget carrier Jet2.com is expanding its network from Manchester Airport with six new routes next summer.

Seats have gone on sale for the services to Barcelona, Berlin, Paris, Toulouse, Venice and Warsaw which start next spring.

The new routes will bring the airline’s network from Manchester up to 24 destinations – with more expected to be added.

Prices start at £21.99 to Paris, rising to £29.99 to Venice, Warsaw and Barcelona.

Berlin will the Jet2.com’s first service from the North West to Germany, with six flights a week. Paris will be served with daily flights as will Barcelona.

Toulouse will have five flights a week, with Venice and Warsaw served four times a week.

The Barcelona, Berlin and Paris flights start on March 25, followed by Warsaw on March 29, Toulouse on April 16 and Venice on May 19.

Jet2.com will be competing head to head with British Airways on some of the routes from Manchester.

The announcement follows planned expansion by Thomsonfly from Manchester in 2007.
