Mandarin Oriental for Malaga
Luxury chain Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is to operate a property in Spain.
The resort property in Benahavis, Malaga is expected to open in 2010 after two years of construction.
The resort, owned by the estate company Las Colinas de Marbella, will include a 153-room, three-story hotel; a 29,000 square feet spa, conference centre and a beach club.
The development will also have a residential component of 15 villas and 40 apartments.
Mandarin Oriental has 20 properties and 19 under construction in Asia, the US, the Caribbean, Europe and Morocco.
