Marriott International has made its debut in Papua New Guinea with the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby.

It also marks the first Marriott Executive Apartments location in the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Region.

The waterside property is in the heart of Port Moresby, within the mixed-use development of ‘Harbourside South.’

It offers luxury apartments with hotel services aimed at extended stays.

“We are thrilled to establish our inaugural foothold in Papua New Guinea with this milestone opening”, said Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.

“This is also a debut for the Marriott Executive Apartments brand in the region, allowing us to diversify our offering to the extended-stay experience.”

Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby features 88 modern residential apartments from one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites to a one-bedroom and two-bedroom penthouse.

Each apartment features a separate sleeping, living, dining and working spaces and a fully equipped kitchen.

There is use of an Executive Lounge for residents and guests offering light meals, self-service options and evening cocktails.

Guests also have access to a floor featuring a 25m outdoor lap pool, leisure pool, a gym, and three spa treatment rooms.

Additionally, there is a recreation zone for children.

The new Harbourside South development also houses a retail floor and three floors of commercial space and connects to Harbourside East and West and Port Moresby’s Waterfront.

Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby participates in Marriott Bonvoy the group’s travel and rewards program.
