MAXjet outsources to Worldspan
All business class airline MAXjet has outsourced its distribution and IT requirements to Worldspan in a five-year deal.
The carrier, which operates from Stansted to New York and Washington, has become a Worldspan participating carrier, giving it access to online seat sales.
The GDS has developed ‘end-to-end’ reservations and deoparture control systems for the airline.
The airline’s CEO Gary Rogliano said: “MAXjet’s business model will allow us to leverage advanced online distribution and booking capabilities, and we need the flexibility Worldspan offers.”
Worldspan airline distribution and business development vice-president Kevin Ficco said: “By outsourcing distribution, hosting and related IT requirements to an experienced global provider, MAXjet is able to focus on its core business, customer care and revenues using the airline industry’s most advanced solutions.”
