BANGKOK – As competition for business intensifies, hotels are starting to market themselves like low-cost carriers.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels is offering 1,000 room nights for 1,000THB (US$28) for its two hotels in Thailand

The 5-star Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok and Millennium Resort Patong Phuket will launch their first-ever package from May 1 to June 15.

Rooms under this promotion are available exclusively online through the hotels’ website at www.millenniumhotels.com

The rates represent a discount of 70 percent off the hotels’ room rates.

Promotional rates are valid for a maximum two-night stay, and also come with a complimentary 30-minute massage at the spas at the two properties

Additional room nights are also available at discounted rates at the two properties.

“If anyone can find a better online deal for our hotel than this, we’ll match the price and give them a complimentary stay,” said Grand Millennium Sukhumvit‘s general manager, John Gerrard.
