Mediterranean summer savings with Silversea

Monday, 03 Nov, 2008 0

What could be more idyllic than escaping the Australasian winter to enjoy a leisurely summer voyage around the Mediterranean in true elegance and style

Ultra luxury Silversea Cruises is offering a range of seven to nine day Mediterranean sailings between May and October 2009, many of which can be combined, for an additional saving of five per cent, to create voyages of up to 35 days with non-repeated itineraries.

On 20 June 2009, enjoy a seven day cruise from Barcelona to Rome on the stylish Silver Whisper, visiting the glamorous ports of Cannes on the French Riviera and Monte Carlo – the playground of the Côte d’Azur.

The vessel then calls at the Italian ports of Livorno – the gateway to Tuscany – and beautiful Sorrento, where it docks overnight, before arriving in Rome (Civitavecchia) on 27 June.

This voyage can be combined with a spectacular seven day Rome to Venice sailing departing 27 June 2009, calling at Lipari, the largest of the Lipari Islands near Sicily; Malta’s capital Valetta; the Greek island of Corfu; Dubrovnik – the jewel of the Adriatic in Croatia, and an overnight call in Venice, finishing on 4 July.

All-inclusive cruise-only fares for each seven day voyage start from just US$5,520* per person, double occupancy – with a saving of five per cent if combined.

Those looking to further explore the Mediterranean can extend their journey with Silversea by an additional seven, 14 or 21 days. Highlights of these sailings include Kotor in Montenegro; Odessa and Sevastapol in Ukraine; Bodrum and Kusadasi in Turkey and Mykonos, Patmos and Volos in Greece.

The Silver Whisper offers the luxury and elegance of a private yacht and the service of a five-star hotel, with distinctive European styling and a convivial atmosphere amongst well-travelled, international guests.

Fares are all-inclusive with all ocean-view suite accommodation, complimentary wines, Champagne and spirits, and guests can dine at their leisure in a choice of four gourmet restaurants. The friendly Silversea service is renowned and all gratuities are included.

*Port and fuel charges, government fees and taxes are additional. All costs are based on per person, double occupancy. Subject to availability.
