Meeting planners will have to adapt to upcoming Gen X

Saturday, 01 Aug, 2006 0

Who are the hardest-to-please meeting attendees?

Generation X, or roughly those under 40, says the latest poll on MiMegasite.com

Fifty eight percent of 211 respondents had that answer.

The site contended that with the “Baby Boomers” turning 60 years old every hour, planners “are going to have to deal much more with Generation X attendees and executives.

Planners will also have to contend with younger colleagues who have different attention spans and stimuli.

“So most planners will have to adapt their meeting content, presentation styles, and themes accordingly to achieve maximum effectiveness for their meetings and events,” concluded the site.
