Melia signs new INNSiDE hotel in China

Melia Hotels International is expanding in China with a new INNSiDE property set to open in 2025.

INNSiDE by Melia Qujiang Xian will expand the group’s footprint in the country to 12 properties, of which half are currently open.

The historic city of Xian is the political, economic, and cultural centre of Northwest China and a major tourism draw.

The signing of INNSiDE by Melia Qujiang Xian, accompanies the group’s flagship property, Gran Melia Xi’an and the pipeline hotel Melia Qinhan New Town, an urban resort located in Xixian New Area in the city.

Melia Qujiang Xian will feature more than 200 rooms. flexible dining options, meeting and working facilities, as well as INNSiDE’s signature Infit fitness experience.

With the signing of INNSiDE by Meli Qujiang Xian, we are excited to bring another important project to the region, further enhancing the importance of China for Melia Hotels International,’ said Bernardo Cabot, Melia’s Area Managing Director, China.

Melia currently has 54 upcoming property launches in the Asia Pacific region, which are expected to open in the next few years.

During 2021, INNSiDE by Melia plans to open new hotels in Amsterdam, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Luxembourg.

The brand’s portfolio currently consists of 33 locations in Spain, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, China, Vietnam, Peru, and the US.
