Mexican airline Aeromar closes down
Mexican airline Aeromar announced it will close after a long struggle since the pandemic.
It said it has been unable to work through its financial difficulties.
The Mexican airline operated 21 domestic routes and to McAllen and Laredo in Texas.
It operated mostly short flights to beach resorts out of Mexico City with a fleet of ATR planes.
It has a workforce of about 700,
The airline had faced some financial problems long before Covid.
“Measures taken were not sufficient to stabilize the company’s situation,” it said.
The airline was founded in 1987.
