Mexico – Increase in international visitors
Mexico’s tourism board reports that inbound tourism is on the increase. For the first quarter of 2007, officials reported a 14.6 percent increase in international revenue totaling U.S.$3.758 billion, compared to the same period the year prior. In a year-over-year comparison, Mexico also experienced an 8.3 percent increase in the number of international tourists totaling 3.6 million individuals.
