Mike Bevens to leave Brittany Ferries
Brittany Ferries group commercial director Mike Bevens is leaving after Christmas to join Bristol-based accommodation specialist Sawday’s as managing director.
Bevens has been with Brittany Ferries since 2010. He was previously head of marketing for holiday brands at Thomas Cook and before that he had director roles with luxury tour operators, Western & Oriental and Jeffersons Private Jet Holidays.
At Sawday’s, he replaces Toby Sawday who has decided to hand over the reins after nearly eight years in the role. He will become a Board Director but has chosen to spend more time with his young family.
Sawday’s, founded by travel publisher and environmentalist Alastair Sawday, represents a portflio of ‘special places to stay’ in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Brittany Ferries has appointed Simon Johnson as interim group commercial director. He previously worked at P&O Ferries as passenger services director and left in 2013 to become a consultant in the maritime sector.
