Milan flights coming to London Southend Airport
London Southend Airport has scored a new route to the football, fashion and culture hotspot of Milan.
It announced a partnership with Italian carrier Aeroitalia with more routes to follow.
From March 25, 2024, London Southend will offer six-times weekly Aeroitalia flights to Milan Bergamo, with tickets starting from €79.99 one-way.
Milan Bergamo Airport is an easy 45 minutes from the Italian city centre by bus.
John Upton, CEO of London Southend Airport, said: “We are delighted to announce this new collaboration with Aeroitalia, the second largest Italian airline in Italy.”
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for London Southend Airport.”
“We are determined to improve and expand our operations,” said Gaetano Intrieri, CEO of Aeroitalia.
The arrival of Aeroitalia next summer compliments London Southend’s existing partner airline and tour operators – easyJet, Balkan Holidays and Santa’s Lapland.
It will bring the total number of destinations available from the airport in 2024 to 11.
London Southend Airport is 52 minutes away by train from London Liverpool Street or 43 minutes from Stratford (connecting via the Elizabeth Line).
The announcement follows the successful return of multiple routes from London Southend Airport as it operates its largest winter schedule in four years.
