Millions view ‘bloody’ campaign
About 180 million people have already viewed Australia’s latest tourism campaign.
Federal Tourism Minister Fran Bailey said the result for the ‘So where the bloody hell are you?’ campaign represented a good return on the government’s $180 million investment.
“Tourists are being switched on to the idea of a holiday down under. They are responding warmly to our friendly and cheeky tourism campaign,” she said.
About 70 million people in Japan have seen the campaign, along with 36 million in the UK, 32 million in Germany and 17 million in South Korea.
It has also been viewed by millions in China, the US, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Ms Bailey said the real benefit of the campaign would be measured in the longer term.
“The proof will be in the pudding when we look at actual tourist numbers in 12 to 18 months time, but so far so good,” she said
