Milton Keynes family were victims of Quebec tourist plane crash
The Foreign Office has confirmed that four members of the same family lost their lives when a tourist plane crashed in Quebec earlier this week.
Four members of the Hewitt family, from Milton Keynes, were visiting the area as part of a special holiday.
"Their families are devastated by the news of this tragic incident and are struggling to come to terms with the loss of the entire family," said the Foreign Office.
The Air Saguenay seaplane was on a routine sightseeing flight from Lac Long in Tadoussac, northeast of Quebec City and was scheduled only to last for 20 minutes.
The plane crashed in the middle of a forest near the village of Les Bergeronnes, Quebec in an area inaccessible by road.
The French pilot and another French national were also killed.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
