Minor signs first Avani and Oaks brand hotels in Yangon
Minor Hotels is to debut its Avani and Oaks brands in Yangon, Myanmar.
The two new builds will form part of a new mixed-use development in the city as part of a management agreement with Kajima Yankin PPP.
The 250-room Avani Yangon Hotel and 221-key Oaks Yangon are expected to open in 2024.
The two hotels will be housed in separate buildings joined by an underground retail centre beneath a landscaped urban park.
Avani Yangon Hotel will feature an all-day dining option and rooftop restaurant and bar, spa and fitness centre, executive lounge and meeting facilities.
Oaks Yangon will have all-day dining, a kids’ club, swimming pool, and fitness facilities.
"The Avani and Oaks hotels will attract a diverse range of travellers and meet the market’s increasing demand for short and long-term accommodation," said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO Minor Hotels.
Minor currently has a portfolio of more than 520 hotels spanning 53 countries.
