White label concierge service Mantic Point has stepped up its game with the launch of a mobile web product at the Travel Technology Show.
The company provides personalised travel and destination assistance to subscribers via mobile phone but up until now this has been via SMS.
Leeds-based Mantic Point’s managing director Mike Atherton said: “SMS is great alerting technology but it is restricted to 160 characters. By using the mobile web we can provide our customers with more detailed and richer information, including airport and destination guides.
We can also update travellers more frequently on their journey.”
Current clients using Mantic’s Streamthru technology include easyJet, BAA and WAYN.com.
The technology allows travel brands to provides users with personalised information about their trip including flight information and updates, snow reports, weather forecasts, traffic updates, itinerary reminders and destination information.
