Moevenpick adds another Phuket property

Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened its second property in Thailand.

It is now managing the 39-Residence The Palm Beach Club and has rebranded it as Moevenpick Residences Laguna Beach Phuket.

The company opened the Moevenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket in 2006.

Moevenpick Residences Laguna Beach Phuket is located on Bang
Tao Beach, close to Phuket International Airport and several golf courses, including Blue Canyon Country Club and the Laguna Phuket Golf Club.

Andreas Mattmueller, chief operating officer of Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts, Middle East & Asia, said there are plans for Moevenpick to operate six hotels in Thailand by 2014.

Since 2010 Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts has extended its Asian presence beyond Thailand and Vietnam, with new developments announced in China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India.

Moevenpick has recently opened Moevenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa in Singapore and Moevenpick Resort & Spa Cebu in the Philippines
