The Monarch Group has appointed John Romo as managing director of its charter division First Aviation with immediate effect.

Romo has been with First Aviation since 2003 and was part of the initial start up team for the business.

He was promoted two years ago from general manager to director and general manager of First Aviation.

Commenting on the appointment, Monarch Group CEO Conrad Clifford said: “John has done a fantastic job in developing Monarch’s charter and ad hoc flight business over the past eight years and we look forward to drawing on his wealth of experience in this core part of the business going forward.”

First Aviation is the charter sales division of sister company Monarch Airlines.
