Monarch puts next winter flights on sale
Monarch has added more flights from Leeds Bradford and Luton airports to its winter 2013/14 programme, which has gone on sale today.
The airline will base an aircraft at Leeds Bradford next winter and flights to Arrecife, Faro, Larnaca and Tenerife, which will start next summer, will continue year-round.
It will also continue to offer flights from Leeds Bradford to Grenoble and Munich, which started last week.
A new route from Luton to the Red Sea destination of Sharm el Sheikh, which also goes on sale today, will operate three times a week starting on 7 November 2013. Monarch currently serves Sharm el Sheikh from Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester.
The winter flying programme will also see the airline operate to existing destinations throughout the Canary Islands, Cyprus, Egypt, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey as well as the ski destinations of Friedrichshafen, Grenoble, Innsbruck and Munich, which were launched for winter 2012/13.
MD Kevin George said: "The additional flying across the Monarch network for winter 2013/14 reflects the strength of the bookings we are already seeing for our summer 2013 routes.
"Our 2013/14 winter flying programme goes on sale today and we are delighted to announce that we will have an aircraft permanently based at Leeds Bradford Airport for the next winter season.
"We will be operating six routes to both sun and ski destinations from Leeds Bradford, as well as a new route from London Luton to Sharm el Sheikh.
"We expect to see great demand for all our new routes and we are sure that our existing winter destinations will continue to flourish."
