Monarch records 29% February growth
Monarch has reported a 29% growth in scheduled passenger numbers to 174,080 in February over the same month last year.
The rise in carryings to destinations in Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, compared to 134,983 in February 2005.
The month also saw the airline put flights for winter 2006-07 on sale, including new services from Manchester to Lanzarote and Gatwick-Tenerife, as well as the continuation of a number of new flights being introduced for summer 2006 – Birmingham-Almeria; Birmingham-Faro; Birmingham-Murcia and Manchester -Menorca.
