More agents join united front to reignite bookings

Homeworking group Not Just Travel has thrown its support behind a campaign being led by a rival consortium urging customers to #KeepCalmAndTravelOn following coronavirus.

The campaign, started by Advantage Travel Partnership, is already being supported by Global Travel Group, CLIA and Travel Gossip.

The aim is to get the whole travel industry using the hashtag #KeepCalmAndTravelOn across social media and on the Instagram account @keeptheworldtravellling, to show that by following FCO and WHO advice, the world is generally keeping calm and travelling on.

The social media campaign launched this week alongside others designed to give reassurance to customers and reignite sales, which have dropped dramatically due to coronavirus concerns.

TravelMole has launched a campaign, GoodtoGo, which will allow hotels, airlines, tour operators, and other suppliers to showcase special deals, discounts, changes to cancellation and refund policies, or added value offers which agents can share with their customers.

Developed with creative agency partners, Designate, TravelMole hopes the GoodtoGo campaign will become part of a clarion call to keep calm and carry on travelling, and help the trade steer a clear pathway until good times return.

Suppliers can share their information in dedicated newswires and details will also be widely shared on social media, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Meanwhile The Travel Network Group has launched its own campaign to urge consumers to ‘keep calm and carry on’.

It is encouraging its agent members to push out messages of reassurance, telling consumers to ‘wait and see’ before making a decision over their holidays and advising them to book with an agent that offers financial protection.
