Eighteen airports out of 30 charge for a five-minute drop off, with Stansted charging the most at £3.

Stansted charges £3.50 for the first 10 minutes. then £1 per minute until 15 minutes. A half-hour stay is £25.00 and the airport also issues a £20 fine for drivers who re-enter within 30 minutes. However, there is a ‘free set down’ facility in the mid-stay car park, which offers up to an hour’s stay for free.

At Manchester, passengers can be picked up in the arrivals and multi-storey car parks with a charge of £4 for half an hour.
