MSC Cruises discounts pre-inaugural cruise of new ship
MSC Cruises is offering £100 off the 13-night pre-inaugural cruise by new ship MSC Poesia from Dover.
Prices for the sailing to Venice on April 6 now start at £858 per person including return flights or £649 cruise-only.
Agents selling a cabin on the 3,013-passenger vessel will be invited to join the overnight christening celebration attended by Sophia Loren in Dover on April 5.
The pre-inaugural voyage visits Cork, Lisbon, Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Naples, Messina, Dubrovnik and Venice, where the 90,000 tonne ship will be based for summer 2008.
MSC Poesia will be a sister ship to the MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica, launched in 2007 and 2006 respectively, and becomes the ninth vessel in the MSC Cruises fleet.
UK and Ireland managing director Claudia Baino said: “We are very excited to launch MSC Poesia from the UK in 2008 as this will give our valued agents a great product to sell to the ever discerning British traveller.
“To reward the agents that we work with, we are happy to invite those that make bookings for clients on this pre-inaugural voyage to the spectacular christening event in Dover.”
