MSC Cruises launches Port Info destination service
MSC Cruises has unveiled a new destination discovery service for cruisers onboard the MSC Meraviglia.
Passengers will get access to Port Info which curates up to date information from local experts and tourism boards on attractions at each port of call.
Port info gives guests personalized options for visiting must-see attractions, events and insights on the best places to eat and transportation.
The service also helps guests create tailor made private land tours or assist with ticketing.
"Discovery is at the center of what we do. Being able to discover multiple destinations without having to repack a suitcase is the main reason that a cruise vacation is so attractive and we are delighted to be enhancing exploration options for guests once they step ashore," said Gianluca Suprani, head of MSC’s global port development and shore side activities.
The service starts with the Meraviglia but will be later rolled out across the MSC fleet.
Each relevant crew member has been trained by local experts to enable them to offer valuable, up to date advice.
MSC has also launched new family and foodie-focused tours in the Mediterranean, which include wine tasting, baking pizzas in Naples, a visit to Pompeii, a Barcelona theme park and cruising the coast of Malta.
