MSC hails taxis for ad campaign
A brand-awareness campaign is planned by MSC Cruises in London during July with advertisements on 150 black cabs.
The ads will carry a call to action directing consumers to travel agents or the Italian line’s website.
UK managing director Claudia Baino said: “We’re determined to familiarise people with the MSC name and to the fact that there is a Truly Italian cruise alternative to some of the mega-cruisers on the market.
“With the advertisement on 150 black cabs, potential cruise passengers in the capital will get that message over and over again.
“More than 95% of MSC Cruises’ bookings come via the trade: the call to action on the advertisement therefore directs readers to their local travel agent or to the MSC website. MSC Cruises is the only cruise line not to accept bookings online but redirects the client to their local travel agent.”
