Mush, mush! The dogs are heading for Falls Creek
Falls Creek is going to the dogs.
Or rather the dogs are coming to Falls Creek on Saturday, August 3.
A dog sled rave will cover 4km around the streets of the Australia ski resort.
Thirty teams will take part in The Sled Dog Classic with night races for 3, 4 and 6-dog teams.
A dash for cash will be held on Friday August 2 on the cross-country trails with the main event the following day from 6.30pm, starting and finishing in Slalom Plaza.
The event showcases Siberian huskies, Alaskan malamutes, Alaskan huskies, and various hounds and their mushers competing against each other and the elements.
The course takes teams through the heart of the alpine village.
In addition guests can entertain themselves with night skiing from 6 – 9pm on Wombats Ramble, Australia’s longest beginners run (weather dependent).
