Myanmar National Airlines signs up with Amadeus
Myanmar National Airlines has signed a distribution agreement with Amadeus, offering global access to the airline’s products and fares.
The agreement comes as the airline ramps up expansion to more regional markets following the delivery of new aircraft.
"Our technology will enable travel agents worldwide to book MNA flights easily and seamlessly. This agreement underlines our commitment to bringing the widest possible range of airline content to the Amadeus global network, and at the same time offer MNA unparalleled access to travel agents globally," said Hazem Hussein, executive vice president, airline commercial, Amadeus Asia Pacific.
MNA took delivery of new next-generation Boeing 737 earlier this year as part of a multi-million dollar plane order.
The carrier will also start taking delivery this year of six new ATR 72-600s jets.
"Bolstered by the partnership with Amadeus, this deal is a critical element in our plan enabling us to provide increased access for millions of visitors across the world," said Tun, CEO of MNA.
The airline operates to 26 domestic destination and earlier this month launched Singapore flights from Yangon.
