Naked protest causes stir at Charlotte Airport
Frustrated after his flight to Jamaica was overbooked at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, a man took an unconventional approach, stripping off in full view of fellow passengers.
The man’s protest began earlier when fully clothed, berating US Airways staff but then took his protest to the next level.
After removing all his clothes, he stood there in the buff for almost one hour before being escorted away by police.
The butt naked protester was described as ‘having an episode’ by police and was escorted to hospital ‘to get the help he needs.’
Another passenger, Sherry Ketchie, took photos on her cell phone of the scene as it unfolded.
"He just kept screaming ‘I’m not leaving.’ I’ve never seen something like that in my life,’" Ketchie said.
Airport officials said the unnamed man will not be charged with any offense.
