Nardi and wife charged
ABTA?s former head of legal affairs, Riccardo Nardi and his wife Samantha have been charged over allegations of fraud and will appear in court next week.
The charge is in addition to a civil action being pursued by ABTA against Mr Nardi for ?960,000.
A spokeswoman for Metropolitan Police told TravelMole that Mr Nardi has been charged with 12 counts of obtaining money transfer by deception contrary to section 15a of the Theft Act 1968 and 11 counts of procuring execution of a valuable security by deception contrary to section 20(2) of the Theft Act 1968.
She added: “He has been bailed to attend court later this month.” Both Mr Nardi and his wife will appear at Horseferry Road Magistrates Court on June 8.
Mrs Nardi faces seven charges on similar counts.
