Narita reopens main runway
TOKYO – Tokyo’s Narita International Airport has reopened its main runway as workers finished clearing the wreckage of a crashed FedEx cargo plane.
An airport spokeswoman said the runway is in full operation.
The wreckage of the plane has been removed for inspection by the transport authority.
A FedEx cargo plane en route from Guangzhou crashed in strong winds and exploded in flames yesterday, killing both pilots.
