NATAS travel fair cancelled
Having already pushed back its first travel fair of 2020 to May, the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore has decided to cancel it altogether.
The NATAS travel fair was postponed last month to early May, but with no early end in sight for the coronavirus pandemic, it cancelled the event.
NATAS holds travel fairs twice a year with a second scheduled in August or September.
A ‘vast majority’ of vendors were in favour of cancelling the show, NATAS said.
It will decide on the future of this year’s second travel fair in the coming weeks.
"We will decide in due course if we should call for a postponement or cancellation of the fair," it said.
The government has advised all Singaporeans not to travel abroad while all inbound travellers are subject to a 14-day home quarantine.
